The journey to Cork has begun! Well, in actuality it began many months ago when a conversation led to an internet search which led to an application to a master's program that turned out to be in its pilot year. I am nervous, excited, intimidated, and honored to be one of five students accepted into the second-ever cohort for the MA in Irish Traditional Music at University College Cork. Making history! Hehehe.
Everything I've read about the program and every interaction I've had with the folks connected to it has made me quite certain that I'll find the space I've been yearning for where I will be pushed and inspired. Taking one of the things I love most to the academic level feels both risky and exhilarating.
I am so so grateful to everyone who has supported me along my path, in ways both big and small, known and unknown. I couldn't have done it without you and even if I could have, I wouldn't have wanted to.
